Brief

1 of 3 minigames developed for an assignment. My only regret with this game was not giving the player rough terrain – the physics on the tank are quite fun!

Game Summary: The year is 3000. Farmer Billie-Joe wants revenge against the government for poisoning his water supply. Being ex-military, he gets one of his former comrade in arms to steal a prototype of some new hardware the military is holding. Billie-Joe uses this to exact his revenge.

Game Outline: The player controls a state of the art tank. It can go over multiple terrains, drive in multiple orientations, and is armed with a heavy laser cannon. It’s well armoured, but also light and nimble. The player is placed in small section of a city. There are no objectives per se, the player is allowed the freedom to do what they want with the tank. Destroying cars will net the player with score, and doing so in rapid succession increases the multiplier through a combo system. The multiplier will drop naturally, the larger it is the quicker it drops, requiring the player to keep up the damage output to maintain a high multiplier.

Causing havoc will force the law enforcers to respond. There are three levels of opposition: police, enforced police, and military. These provide different challenges to the player. The game ends when the tank is destroyed.
